I have an APC mini chopper that originally came with a 43cc 2 stroke engine. I have since taken that engine out and replaced it with a Lifan 100cc 4 stroke engine. Right now there is no electrical system in it, it's pull start. There are 2 wires that come out of the engine cover next to the plug wire and when either one is grounded it kills the engine. I used my volt meter on it and at idle it reads between .55 and .60 and increases with the rpm. I can't use this to hook up electrical things like lights/horn/ect. because when I ground the electrical component it kills the engine. So my question is how could I make it so either I can run electronics on the engine or make the engine charge a battery which powers the things.
When either one is grounded it kills the motor, I too a light bulb with a socket and connected the ground and took the positive and tried each one but all it did was kill the engine.
