I have a Mitsubishi Eclipse Gt year 2000. Right now the car works perfectly fine but im just preparing myself for the future, if ever the engine is going bad. So i was wondering if that would ever happen, am i able to swap the engine with any of the mitsubishi eclipse v6 engines from 01 to 05?
And do i need to swap any other major things such as transmission to put in any of these engines?
btw its an automatic- i wouldn't mind switching to manual but its not necessary for me.

I also wanna add this questions- I am planning on putting cold air intake and performance headers. What other performance parts would you recommend? and if I even should spend the money on doing it. My uncle is a mechanic so labor is not an issue
