Not sure if my friend is being a pile of BS or honest because I've not been in a fight team so looking for clues here. My other friend hates his cocky attitude and wants to fight him. Lets call the fighter A and my angry other friend B. A says he will only fight inside the gym no matter how much B says to fight at his house or in the street. A says that he had to sign papers saying that he will go to jail if he gets in a fight because he's not considered a lethal weapon since he knows how to fight. Sounds like a load of BS to me as my friend is on a fight team and never had to do anything like that, yet he's only been doing it 6 months and is telling friend B that.

A is pretty full of it. ESPECIALLY if he's only been doing it for 6 months. It may be that he signed some sort of moral contract with his gym saying he can't use it outside of the ring or he will be kicked out. like the tobacco and alcohol stuff they make high school athletes sign.

No, no, no.

It doesn't matter if you are a professional fighter, you are not considered a weapon, ever.

One part of the story is right, if you fight outside of a gym (since you can call it sparring), you go to jail, and that applies to everybody and anybody.

Your "friend" is full of it.
