mobile phone 24 contract Australia - contract experts help needed?

ok so i was just wondering the salesperson/vodafone website states that the min cost of a contract is $1173 for example over 24months.. if i spend over this amount before the 24 months is over does that allow me to end the contract without the early exit fees? does it do anything to the contract?
