Monsters - a right to life?

They did almost the same joke on The News Quiz this afternoon following the story of the crocodiles being dumped 250 mile away and finding their way back to their human-inhabited home.

"So it seems that vicious, reptilian man-eaters can find their way back home - which might explain why Maggie was seen at Number 10 this week"

If I can drag Chimp out of the comic books - Kim Harrison has the "Inderland" series of books, Kelley Armstrong has the excellent "Otherworld" series, and Laurell K Hamilton has a developed the confusion of a 'vampire slayer' through 14 books (and counting) which has said slayer sleeping with a wide variety of 'monsters'.

Even in the Harry Potter universe there are 'monsters' that need saving, and almost always the biggest monsters in the tales tend to be (or at least start as) human.

Not a clear-cut subject depending on which alternate universe you want to live in.

Harry Potter? I had hoped that this thread would not stray into the world of fantasy and make believe but it was probably inevitable.

Cool But why are professional comedians always stealing my jokes? it isn't fair!

As for monsters? Send them back where they came from, that's what I say. Coming over here, stealing our jobs.

Huh. He couldn't even exterminate a dragon- had to get errol to do it. No, what we need is zero tolerance on monsters. Chuck 'em on a cell floor and kick 'em for 15 minutes with military boots, burmese drunk and disorderly style. That's what I say.
