...is carburated? I have a 85 ford f150 2wd 4 speed that is carburated and has a 300 straight 6 in it. A rebuilt motor that only has maybe 25,000 miles on it, but its basically shot rings are bad and rod bearings, etc... . I have a 88 ford f150 4wd 5 speed fuel injected 300 straight 6 I've been working on and i no longer have the money to rebuild it. The motor is about the only thing left in this truck that's any good. Could i pull the motor from the 88 put it in the 85 and leave it fuel injected or would i have to switch it to a carburated motor also would it mount up to the transmission.
