I say 2001 as Space Oddysey and then 2010 by Arthur C Clarke must be the lamest, wide of the mark sci-fi
in 2001 we were supposed to be going to the moon on passenger space ships, in 2010 the USA was duelling with the Soviet Union in a nuclear space ship near Pluto. What a lack of vision the guy had.
If you compare that to something like George Orwell and 1984 and how many truths in that emerged - Arthur C Clarke is a joke
TV screens that monitor you - ok so that isn't exactly true, but how about monitoring of the internet, that is getting more prevelant, we are being monitored via the internet and our mobile phones.
Not to mention CCTV everywhere.
