We live in the San Diego area and were thinking of taking a weekend getaway before her mother in law moves back in with us (next month).
We have been to l.a, but the last time we went it wasn't a really good experience.
We weren't really sure where anything was and had to resort into staying at a dingy hotel near the rough part of town and didn't really get to do anything because there was a lot of commotion going on around us.
We were thinking of maybe going to palm springs, I would like to go to San Fransisco but we would much prefer to drive then fly.
Any ideas on where to go would be helpful.
Something that has shopping areas and cool things to do and or little vintage shops.
