I need advice regarding a motherboard, ram and CPU for a gaming computer I am making. It needs to be compatible with 512mb 8800GT Videocard and Direct X 9.0c SoundBlaster Audigy. I would preferably like the parts to be cheap, but powerful enough to run a game such as crysis. Any suggestions?

For thorough reliability, I suggest that you go for a compatible Intel motherboard and at least an Intel Core2 Duo processor (2GHz the very least) with 2GB of RAM to spare.

The processor and RAM I listed is the minimum requirements that I suggest.

But since you would like to go for cheaper parts, I reckon that you can save a bit of your cash by opting for a compatible Taiwan based motherboards, preferably ASUS brand.

If you're into AMD, the processor recommended would be AMD Quad, while the clockspeed and RAM would remain as I suggested as above.

Good luck in finding the best configurations!
