I just thought you must have been naturally fuzzy.

So will the engine become intimate with a die grinder in the future, or will it be left as is?

I went to the Brisbane bike show yesterday. This is a picture of the line to get in, it goes all the way up to the corner then down the road to the right about 100 meters.

I don’t mind these either. They look great, I like the cross between street fighter and sports bike. I think they could be fun to ride too, although they could do with some more power.

They had some guys doing stuff like this. They had an ambulance in attendance, but the guys didn’t seem too concerned as they were just wearing tee shirts or tank tops.

I think I'm going to leave the engine alone as much as possible. Money and time constraints, mainly. Also, I want to get some of my pre-existing 'projects' on the road.
Also, have you ever wondered what happens when you run a crappy, out-of-focus photo through every single piece of photo enhancement software that you own?

Now you know. Incidentally, does anybody know how to turn on manual focus on a Nikon coolpix800?

Sorry mine is an Olympus. Most of the general digital cameras have their manual focus as a menu option in the manual settings menu. I find them pretty hard to use compared to the focus ring on film or higher priced digital cameras.

You're not wrong- I learned to shoot pictures on my grandad's old exa, and you can tell just by looking at it that it's a better camera than most (most)digis. There's a huge gulf between the quality of the camera and how easy it is to use.

This is one of mine:

If you never saw the video promo for it you need to go here click on English at the bottom right then click on watch the video. That's me on my way to work that is

Also got an Aprilia RSVR:

and a very tatty, held together by cable ties, winter hack, much loved DR600. You can never have too many!

Been through R1's GSXR1100s etc in the past, but the Superduke is the most fun I've had in ages!

The Supper Duke has a great engine and chassis. I think it could be great fun around town but I don’t think I would like to go on a fast ride on it. I’m sure it would be more than competent at doing this, but the lack of fairing and high bars would have you getting blown off the bike.

I really like the RSV Aprillia’s. Is your RSVR the earlier model where the R gets all the high spec goodies or the newer model when they changed the R designation to the normal model? I love the way they sell you a bike that has two mappings in the ECU, one for road and one for track. If you want the track mapping all you needed to do was cut one wire.

alright here is a couple of shots of my 72 bmw /5. these are a little old i presently have some tiny bar end racer mirrors on it and a pair of short norton syle peashooter pipes.

to KE is that the bike we were talking about a while ago. you were having some kind of prioblems with and started a thread? jees would have been a year ago now. i think it had to do with stripping a thread or something.

looking good.

Mine's the earlier one with Ohlins and carbon fibre goodness Cut the wire and remove a baffle in the standard end can - or just chuck it away, get an Akra and save 20lbs in the process

I got the SuperDuke in part to slow me down. You get the same sensation of speed, just 20mph slower; good for my life expectancy and licence! I used to regulalry do 140mph on my way to work on the Aprilia (not on public roads, you understand, officer ).

It normally takes me a long time to get used to a new bike, but with the SuperDuke I was knee-sliding on roundabouts within days, it is just so light and so well balanced. I haven't gelled with a bike so readily before. Somehow the upright riding position makes everything less serious and more fun; if you get chance have a go, they're a riot

The pic of your Aprillia is working now; I can see that Ohlins sticker down there on the forks. I’m nearly envious.

You have a Super Duke too! Now I’m definitely envious.

Sounds like you bought the Super Duke for similar reasons to me buying my Ducati. My Blade was a great bike, but it needed to be ridden very quickly to enjoy it. This wasn’t a problem when I lived in Sydney as Eastern Creek and Oran Park raceways were close by and I could do lots of track days. When I moved to QLD I no longer had race circuits near by, so I though I would get something that was still fun without needing to break the speed limit by 150 kph.

Anyone catch the WSB’s. I couldn’t watch it as I don’t have Fox, but I listened to the race commentary online. The racing sounded very exiting, especially round 2 of the Super Bikes. It looks like Troy Bayliss has not lost anything after his absence from Super Bikes over the last 3 years. It wasn’t a bad result for the Australian ridders; there was at least one of them on each of the 3 podiums. With Troy Bayliss (AUS) leading the Super Bike championship from Troy Corser (AUS), who is tied with James Tosland (GBR) for second place and Noriyuki Haga (JAP) in third. The Super Sports championship shapes up as 1st Sebastien Charpentier (FRA), 2nd Kevin Curtain (AUS), and 3rd Kenan Sofuoglu (TUR).

WSB’s have traditionally been more exiting to watch than GP’s, this season is looking like it will even be more exiting than usual. I wish I could get to Phillip Island for the next round.

*swwwwooooonnnn*

That's one of my favorite Aprilia models, omg.
First choice is the '03 SL 1000 Falco.. a buddy of mine has one and that thing has some bite to it. Sleek and quick, my kinda bike Excellent ride, too.

My 'rents hate the fact that I love motorcycles, so they refuse to let me get one while I'm 'in their house'.
Little do they know I've been practicing and once the whole college bit is over with, I'll be on my own Kawi Ninja (for old times sake- it was the first bike I ever rode), buzzing around upper New York.
buuuahahahahaha

some nice wheels on this thread- kudos to all the riders here ^_^

Same deal for me, I don't think it's on terrestrial and I don't have satellite/cable. However, a mate of mine does and has recorded it for me, so hopefully I'll get chance Friday (training M/T/W/Th).

I think it's going to be a cracking season. I make Bayliss favourite, but Corser and Toseland have a good chance. Haga if he can be consistent, Muggeridge if he can step up a level (I think he can) and a good half dozen other riders able to podium given a good ride. Barros, Laconi, Walker, Chili etc etc.

I'm also keeping an eye on Neukirchner, he had a promising season last year; unfortunately he lost his ride with all the MGP refugees turning up, but he's a lad with a lot of potential if he's given the chance to develop it.

I'll hopefully be at Silverstone and maybe Brands, can't wait!
