Motorcycle Enthusiasts

Did you ever get the new bike you were thinking about Nordic? Maybe get it soon ready for the spring?

Have to say that nothing really floats my boat at the moment:
1000cc sport? Maybe the new R1 but the others all look a bit dull. I like something that wows me as I walk up to it as well as when I ride it. New Kwack ZX10 is just plain ugly.

Maybe a Guzzi Griso and here for mellow afternoons posing? Have to change that exhaust for something smaller. And louder

Here's one that's been dividing a few folks, Tailgunner exhausts , incredibly cool or incredibly naff? Got to say I side with the latter, but each to their own!

Best wishes to everyone and safe riding for the new year, better see if I still fit into my leathers after all my "research" into the best mince pies

I have heard that as well. But I haven't had any problems with mine (except the starter motor relay went, but I took the one off the floor model)
I just make sure I am diligent with servicing etc, so I will hopefully catch any problems before they happen. I get really well looked after by the local Motorcycle dealers, so I guess I am lucky.

I put it on hold till I return from Iraq. I'll get a HUGH savings if I wait and use the military purchasing agreements.

I''l have a little time before I leave to ride then it's two years sans bike.

My friend video taped his ride last weekend, bet he wishes he didn't go!
First time I have seen a crash from the point of view of the bike!!

Actually he managed to do some sort of break fall, so he was just a bit bruised. The other guy (the one who lost the bike) was a bit of a noob and wasn't wearing any protective clothing, so he got a very rough exfoliation treatment! He was lucky, a split second either way and it might have been him that hit my friend, not his bike.

I'm sure the thread went off topic and probably really isn't about motercycles anymore BUT I have a motercycle question for anyone interested in giving a fellow enthusiast some help.

I want to buy a new ZX6R but I'm not sure if I should get the 2006 or 2007.
06 is 636cc and about $8999 for me, 2007 is 599cc and $12999.
Aside from that, does anyone know any other differences between the two years?
Any recommendations?

Cheers and thanks

Certainly looked like a noob crash, guy wa well over his side if the road, not too threatning a corner, guess he just lost the front on the brakes rather than trying to lean the thing properly (hard to tell from grainy footage)? Easy to say from my armchair mind

Hope the guy was all right though.

Well here is a pic of my new daytona, finally.
My friend and I were riding along Lygon St, in Melbourne.
For those that don't know (which would probably be most of you!) Lygon St is like the Little Italy of Melbourne. All the best Italian cafes and restaurants are around this street, and therefore there are lots of older rich italian men cruising in their maseratis, ferraris, etc. And all all the ducatis, Augustas, actually every cool car or bike tends to cruise up and down here.
So its the place to go on summer evenings to show off your ride basically.

I was just sitting at the lights when a friend took this photo. Bit dissapointing! If I was like all the other hoons, I probably should have been doing a stoppie at least!!!

It really is a nice looking bike! Precise, attenuated, even dainty, but you know it's going to want to be thrashed!

I think I need to lie down
