Motorola Devour phone - just bought, but sales person deactivated Blur.?

Phone works fine, except on accounts only offers two options - email and work. Just want to sync my google apps calendar and contacts and can't figure out how. Also can I get software updates without a blur account? If not, can I set up blur account without doing full factory reset?
