I have a Motorola V3A. When it is closed, the inside and outside screens will randomly come on.
I am aware that there is a magnet in the top of the flip-phone and that there is a tiny hole just above the right side of the keypad where the phone should detect the magnet and know that it is closed.
I opened the top of the phone and the magnet is present.
I believe the problem is in the sensor that is located below the battery and below the moisture-sensitive paper, but I am not certain.
I bought this as a refurbished phone two months ago and really didn't notice the problem until recently. It has no warranty and a repair shop will charge more than the value of the phone.
The Razr is somewhat obsolete now and all the great internet support sites are gone.
My carrier is cricket, if this is helpful at all.

Please resist telling me to get a new phone, carrier, hating on Razrs or anything else outside the scope of my question. Thanks!
