Motorola Rival camera problems?

I've had this phone since December 2009, I have never dropped the phone or have done any damage at all to it. When I take pictures it lets me, but when I go look at the picture, it shows up as some kind of green mountain picture on the little display. The actual display of the picture is just black. The videos work perfectly though. Anyone know what's wrong with it?
