The IP address is always set to auto, anyway its to hard to explain so if you dont have a manual go to HelloMoto.com and download the Manual, do you know the IP address you want to connect too and why? anyway if your trying to log into the modem then push the reset button on the back of the modem, the IP is 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.0 the name and password should be admin, if this is your first time setting up the Modem....ok

You cannot change your ip-address manually..You need to contact the service provider,service provider only gives you a ip-address.You can use proxy servers,VPN to change ip-address ..Proxy servers,software hide the original ip-address and shows a fake one.You can check ip-address at Ip-Details.com
 it shows your isp ip address.Static ip address will not change.But you using Dynamic ip address ,it will change whenever you reset the modem or switch off and switch on the modem.
