Motorola xoom? ipad? what else?

I've been trying to decide what to get, i've got a laptop and a home pc. but when i want to pack light and just need quick internet access without all the booting up logging in and password this and password that, you know what i mean? i want to use it for quick research and just plain browsing. and can you download and then upload to your main pc?
