You should just be able to bring your DSL router, and contact your ISP and tell them your moving.

The modem/router you will need to bring across. You will also need to enable your connection in your new residence. If you are with ADSL/DSL connection, the other premises the phone line needs to be activated for DSL. In Oz, we call it 'churn' and you won't need to resign but as a transfer account. There is also a specific period required for the account to be transferred, simply because the ISP has to enable the connection at the exchange. Do this at least two weeks before moving over.

Your Internet provider needs to be contacted ASAP so that you can be set-up at the new house when you will need the service there. You may be under a contract and need to continue the service with them or you might want to check out other providers at this time if you find out that is an option at this point. I personally prefer Verizon High speed Internet or FIOS with them if its in your area. I always use a Verizon Plus store representative to set me up in my local area to give that person my sale to help keep them employed in my community. DEFINITELY take your modem/router with you to the new house and you can set-up phone service with them with bundle discounts when you move. Don't forget to take your filters also if you have any connected to your phone jacks.
