I was working on PowerPoint this morning and was given the "The file is corrupt and can't be open" error when I tried to save my work. This only happens when I have Smart Art graphic in the project. When it's gone I can save it normally. I'm running a Windows XP. I have tried to let MS do updates but after those updates are done I get the "PowerPoint is not installed to current user." error making me having to replace the mso.dll file to get it to work but I'm back to my original problem which is the Smart Art corrupting my file and I can't save.
So help on how can I get Smart Art to stop corrupting the file so I can save is very much appreciated. Also don't suggest that I just don't use it because this is for a college project and it's one of the first steps in the project. And as I reminder I'm working on Windows XP not Vista. I seen too many solutions for this for Vista.
