I updated to Windows Live Essentials and got Windows Live Messenger 2011, which I quickly uninstalled and subsequently reinstalled the 2009 build. Ever since then my MSN "breaks" and contacts see me as offline, or are just unable to message me. I don't get any notification of this until one of my good friends trying to talk to me e-mail me and tell me that it has broken, this happens several times throughout the day and I'd really appreciate a fix.
What I've tried:
-Uninstalling and Reinstalling via Control Panel
-Running a "Repair" command via Control Panel
-Using "zapMessenger" to uninstall all Windows Live programs completely and reinstalling
System specs:
-Windows Vista Home Basic
-Windows Live Messenger 2009
-2.0 GB RAM
-1.73GHz processor
-Laptop is almost at it's 5th birthday, could this be down to my laptop being on it's last legs?
Also, is it possible that the problem may be linked to the hotmail address that I'm using?
Any suggestions for fixes are much appreciated <3
