Since I've had surgery is there anyway I can keep my other muscles from atrophy?
I recently had surgery on my type 5 separated shoulder. And before this I tried to stay in good shape and work out a lot. And I'm worried that I will lose muscle due to my arm being in a sling for 6 weeks before I can start rehabilitation and another month and a half before i can start lifting again. The muscles I'm worried about trying to at least maintain I guess would be my biceps, pectorals, and triceps. Do you think flexing or tightening them and holding that for a few seconds would help at all?
