started. Any ideas on what's wrong? No matter what the weather conditions are, white smoke blows out of the exhaust pipe when it's first started only. I'm not sure what the problem is, but I'm guessing it has something to do with the head gasket. Any ideas on what could possibly be wrong? Is this a serious problem? Is it an easy fix? Is it an expensive fix? Thanks.

Are you loosing antifreeze? If not I doubt its a head gasket, and it could be normal condensation you are seeing.

It could be bad valve seals allowing oil to leak down the valve stems and collect in the cylinders such that it burns when you first crank it. Pretty cheap to patch up, not so cheap to really fix.
