my 1997 jeep wranglers emergency brake light stays on, why?

i got new brakes with in the year, my E brake is so lose that it dosen't really work, its a SE 4 cyl 5 spd trans.
 
Seems like your switch may have possibly came loose happened to me a couple of times, Check this article out in my sources,
 
Your E-brake light is also a warning light. You could be low on brake fluid, Check that, also the rear brakes need to be adjusted up if you have a low brake pedal condition with the E-brake not holding.
