My 2 and a half year old has started to wake up in the middle of the night

screaming. Any advice.? He is not teething. We are worried he may be having nightmares, because he wakes up screaming like he never has before. My wife thinks we have a ghost and he is possesed and I laugh, but really does anyone have any advice to help with our situation?

Is he taking a nap during the day? Sometimes when my daughter gets overtired from not taking a nap, she will wake up in the middle of the night with night terrors. She will be screaming, eyes closed, and limp like she is still sleeping, but isn't. Hope that helps.. and if you are really concerned, I would consult the dr.. they know your child best.
