he do this so much? Whether my puppy is in the cage, sitting next to me, walking around the room, smelling a certain area in the house, looking in a certain direction in the house, etc. it just doesn't matter where he is or what he is doing, he will whine for some reason. I will look at him and ask him whats wrong or tell him to stop, and he will be quiet for a few secons and do it again. He will walk around, stop and whine, then walk around some more. He could be sitting in the cage and whine, i will tell him to stop or shush him, he will stare at me and do it again a few seconds later. Is something bothering him? does he need something? I already know that my dog needs so much attention, i have never had, seen or heard of a dog that need so much attention as my dog does. I can not sit on my couch without him sitting by my side staring at me, or smelling my legs or feet, anything to get my attention. No matter how long I will pay him or play with him, its never enough. If i could possibly pet him and play with him 24 hours a day none stop it will still not be enough.
I adopted my puppy 3 months ago from a local shelter, he has had 2 other homes before I adopted him. He was taken to the shelter by the original owner because they could not handle him, he was to hyper, didn't listen, etc. Two weeks later he was adopted from the shelter but only 3 weeks later he was taken back to the shelter because they did not know what to do with him. He did not listen to them, he was to wild in the house, to much energy, etc. Now we have had him for about 5 months and we have done a lot to him and for him, we think he has calm down a little but he is still very hyper and hard to handle at times, especially when there is company we have to put him in the cage, he will want to play with him, jump on them and just not leave them alone, I am not afraid of him hurting anybody or biting anybody, its just he is very hyper.
Right now he just laid down on my feet as I am typing this question..I am not sure what to do about the whining, he was nuetered before we adopted him and we thought that it was suppose to help with his hormones and his behavior but I guess not..
I would appreciate any advice, help or tips on what to do about his whining, what causes it and how to deal with it, what to do and what not to do.
Thanks
