My belt on a 2000 ford taurus is squeaking and whining I took belt off...

...and belt is still good? Someone said it could be power steering pump? But car turns etc fine no leaks.. Then I herd it could be tensioner pulley which I herd usually go on fords... Or the power steering pulley... I don't know if the pump would cause belt to squeak loud.. I'm at a loss
 
Usually dirt causes squeaky belts. Also make sure tension is correct.
 
Get a spray bottle with water and while it's squeaking, carefully squirt a bit of water in the grove of all the pulleys the belt goes around. When the squeaking stops you found your problem. If no pulley stops when squirted, it's the accessory the pulley is attached to.
