okay, so my betta has finrot i think... or maybe it's something more serious? i got him finrot medicine, but his finrot isn't getting any better... and he's turning gray... and his gills are so swollen that they don't close all the way and they're red on the inside... why to betta fish have gills? i thought they breathed water from the surface of the water, like whales? i gave him the medicine that the petstore guy recommended but about a minute after putting him in it, he just sank to the bottom and spread out his fins and he's just sitting there breathing... not swimming around like he was just a few mintues ago... is he dying? is the medicine killing him? i really don't want him to die, i love him so much... i've had him for about five months and i'm really attatched to him... he's my baby....
what did i do to make my fishie so sick?
i clean his jar every three days (it's about 1.5 gal) and i feed him twice a day, betta pellets and i give him blood worms twice a week....
