My BlackBerry Pearl Flip won't turn on-- but red light is on?

I just put the battery into my BlackBerry Pearl Flip, and it won't turn on; the light doesn't turn red yet. When I plug it into my computer, THEN the light comes on red and DOES NOT blink (I've read this on Google posts), it's just red. But it still won't turn on. Any suggestions?

Try charging it without the sim card. After is it fully charged, try turning it on. If it works, insert the sim card. That's what I did when my phone suddenly decided not to turn on one day and it worked.

ive got one that does the same thing.i dont know what to do with or about it
