my blackberry's add ons and apps?

i recently just got a blackberry bold 9700 and i can use it fine with calls,text and internet... but what my problem is; that i cannot use most applications like the blackberry internet browser and bbm chat... of which i really want to use. i think the cause maybe cause i am using my old sim from my nokia e63 contract and may not be paying for blackberry add ons... so what i would like to know is if there is a way for me to start using blackberry apps, what the problem is. If it helps i am in contract with 3 network using a 3 blackberry bold 9700.
 
To use BB internet and BB Chat , you need to subscribe for a BB Data plan , a BB data plan differs from a regular data plan from other phones . And if you switched phones without notifying your service provider , you should , because they have to activate things on they system so you can get the full advantage of the Blackberry .
