20-25mph. What could it be? I own a 2002 BMW 325ci with 57k miles on it. While driving, there is a very loud "roar" that sounds like it is coming from the rear of the car. The weird thing is, the sound is only noticeable when going 20-25mph. Above 25, the noise goes away. Below 20, the noise goes away. The rear tires are nearly new continental contisports. The noise seems more prominent when slowing down than accelerating, but that could be because of reduced engine noise. It is there whether I am braking or cruising, and it doesn't seem to get worse in turns. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Also, it happens every single time the car is between 20-25 mph. No exceptions. To best describe the sound: sounds like a very loud road noise like as if you were driving on a very rough road. There is no noticeable vibration however. And no, there is not lion in the trunk. haha.
