I really don't want to go. I don't like funerals, they scare the crap out of me and make me really uncomfortable. What should I do?
 
No one likes them, but he clearly needs your support. This is one of those times you put someone else's needs ahead of your own.

Go, support him. It won't be fun but he must need you. Go.
