my car remote battery died but i have the car key can i get in without the car...

...alarm ringing? my car is a silver 2008 toyota scion and my car alarm remote battery died so it cant lock or unlock anymore from the remote but i have a spare key but i don't know if when i put it in it might alarm the car and it will start ringing plese answer
