My brother has four rats in a large wire cage. The cage sits in front of a window and my cat likes to get behind the cage and sit on the windowsill. The rats think anything coming through the bars is food. You can guess what happened next.
The rat somehow managed to bite the tip of her ear. It didn't bleed very much. Come to think of it it didn't bleed at all. I felt so bad for my kitty.
I hate to say it but I'm not exactly fond of rats. The rat didn't bite the tip of her ear completely off. The rat just bit half of it off. It's kind of hanging by a thread. I think the ear's going to be forever deformed. I put hydrogen peroxide on it. I tried putting a band aid but She HATES when I touch her ears. Do you think it's going to get infected? Would you take her to the vet? I don't think it hurts, I mean she's acting as if it never happened?
