My cat Christmas was well this afternoon. When my mum came home,she carried her awhile and she whined (It was common as she want to come down). But the whining did not stop. Normally,it would stop but today she whined as if in pain for the whole night. If someone is not looking at her,she whines loudly till someone came and accompany her. Her diet is still in good shape. She eats and drinks. So far she had not poop but she had pee. Whenever we touch her lower part,mostly her hind legs and tail,she gives out this gu-gu sound. Not purring. More like whining in a deep soft tone. Help!? Physically I don't see anything wrong. She only started suddenly today. Oh and she always seems to be lying on the floor with her butt abit higher. Her lower part twiches constantly as if she needs to poop. She also spreads her legs and stretches them. Other than that,whenever I give her a treat she is quite active and alert. Thanks! She's in heat. This happens to my sisters cat shadow. She will cry very loud for about 20 minutes at a time. If you go up to her and just tap her bottom a few times she will sort of look like she's laying but will still be standing on her back paws and sort of.. trot.. in place..
If she does this then she's in heat. Keep her inside and keep the windows closed enough so she couldn't break through the screen. In a few days it will be over and will stop whining.

Your cat is in heat. Please, please don't allow her to go outside until she's been spayed. It sounds like you care about cats, and you don't want her to have kittens when there are already so many being killed for a lack of homes. It will also keep her from developing pyometra, a life-threatening infection of the uterus, and decrease her chances of getting mammary cancer, which is almost always fatal.
