My chevy truck 4.3 auto engine loses power when going up hills?

on flat areas its works fairly ok but not great. If I know a hill is coming, I press the pedal to the floor to get speed but then when I start on the hill it will die and basically goes about 25. It runs just no power. this is the 3rd engine I have put in and all have done this.
 
Maybe you've got a bad catalytic converter assuming your ignition and timing are good. Check your fuel pump pressure and volume as well.
