My comcast motorola dct700 set-top box won't turn on! Why?

Okay, so, I just got my box a few days ago, and after my mom pulled away some extra electronics, the box won't turn on. I've confirmed that the box is plugged in to power, and all cable connections are tight. My DVR box in another room is still working fine. Help! D:
