My Computer Keeps Crashing With bitTorrent?

My computer keeps crashing when checking files of one of the torrents i'm downloading. It has been working perfectly fine up until now and It's not the download becuase that already got to 85% fiine before it stopped working.

It also doesnt seem to be bitTorrent it's doing the same thing in Utorrent aswell.

It will either just freeze the computer so i have to turn it off myself or a blue screen will appear saying an error has occured and it's restarting.
I am using windows vista and the file size is 25gb =/ but how do i fix it?
 
2 REASONS first and more likely these programs use a lot of memory and create a virtual file same size as the download file so could be it r u on crappy Microsoft Windows?

Second : u have a virus or malware trying to "sabotage" your computer.

I would run a full scan "if on Windows" for viruses and use another bit torrent program
