my corsa keeps cutting out?

i have a y reg corsa, 1ltr engine its done 74.000. for the last few days it has been cutting out after. It seems to cut out at the first set of lights i come to at around 10 minutes into the drive. when it cuts out the battery and oil lights flash up. also the rev counter will stop working till the next day. any advice

The RPM meter (engine revolutions per minute) is driven off the ignition spark pulses. So if the RPM meter immediately drops to zero, your ignition could be dropping out due to a bad ignition module or related crank and cam sensors etc. If it cranks ok, but won't start, you need to have a mechanic do a spark test with a spark tester like the one below.
