My Creative Zen keeps freezing?

I got a creative Zen not even a year ago and now the screen is freezing. It all started when the player froze while shutting down. I e-mailed the Creative companiey. They were very clear on what I would have to do. They said based on what I described, they said it would have to be sceaduled for repair or replacment. But I really don't want to do that. I used the Mp3 recovery tool, but it doesn't work. I also have the latedt firmware. Can someone please help me?
 
If you got it when it first came out or near that time, it usually means that it was still bugged. You know how windows works (we saw it with vista) they put it out to let all their consumers find the bugs and then fixed it up. Personally, I'd just get it replaced. At least you'll get one of the newer, non-bugged ones that wont cause [as much] trouble.
