...on there is this "rattle" noise.? My friend says it is the lifters but this sound goes away after the car has warmed up. He drove the car for her after she bought it and the check engine light came on at about 60 miles. When it was turned off and then back on the engine light was off. The reason she did not know about the noise is because the crooked salesman had the car all warmed up when she got to the lot. Anyway, does anyone have any idea what this might be?
 
Hard to say but if the light comes on leave the car on and go to advanced auto or auto zone but leave the car on and have them check the computer on the car. They do it for free and this will best help you with the problem
 
I don't understand why everyone always tries to blame the salesman for the fact that they did not have the car checked out at a shop before buying it. Without knowing the mileage and maintenance history of the car it is really hard to say what would be the problem. Have a garage check it over for a proper analysis.
