My Divx Plugin will not work?

When I use certain movie watching sites, the screen will turn yellow and it tells me that the plugin has not been downloaded. So I download it, and then it tells me to refresh but yet it still tells me that the plugin is still not loaded to my computer!
What can I do to get it to work?
Yes I have also installed it completely.

Download vlc player and watch your divx movies on that.
