My facebook chat isn't working, it;s not even showing up!?

When i go onto facebook and click on my homepage, there is no little chat box in the bottom corner, also no online friends appear on the left hand side. I have no idea what happened because it was working this morning and now there is no chat at all, not even a cannot currently connect to facebook chat! PLEASE HELP ME!
