My friend borrowed some money and promised to return it in a week but

hasnt.How to complain against him? My friend said he was in dire need of money for a week. I gave him $300 (even when I had just $340 in my account) thinking that he would return it on time as promised. I went to the atm , withdrew cash and gave it to him. He has been ignoring my calls and is not responding to my voicemails. I am completely broke now and dont know what to do. How can I file a complaint against him?
