I just got some new kicker comp. 12' inch speakers. I have both of them bridged on a 2000 watt concept amp (I have not tried it mono-blocked yet). The speakers work fine and dandy but after a few minutes of banging the fuse under the hood will blow out. I have a 100 amp fuse under the hood and its burned two already which was a spare. This problem didn't seem to exist when I had one 15' hooked up to a 2000 watt lanzar amp, but now occurs with the 2000 watt concept amp and two kicker 12s.
I seriously need to figure out this problem soon. I'm going to my local stereo shop tomorrow to see what might be the problem but I would like to know ahead of time before I do something stupid.
Full setup:
- 12 gauge power wire
- 8 gauge 3ft ground wire connected to a near seat bolt
- 2 12 inch kicker competition subs bridged
- 2000 watt concept amp
- 100amp fuse under hood
- Durango 2000
