My future career, I really want to work with newborns.?

Like, the people who weigh the newborns, are they just RN's? or are they a special nurse?
and the ones who give them a bath and that kind of stuff, because i love babies.
 
Labor & Delivery nurse or Mother/Baby nurse.

It's what I want to do... just gotta find the time to get back to school :)
 
You could look into becoming a Neonatal intensive care unit nurse! My daughter was in the NICU for 91 days, and those nurses were a godsend! And I don't know how long it takes to become one, but most of the girls in there weren't that old. In their twenties! So definitly worth looking into!
 
It's an RN that works in the maternity ward. Not to burst your bubble, but you do realize that there's more to feeding and washing babies, right? Like checking the mother's private areas, wiping, checking stools, helping to clean up blood from the mom, etc. After the birth, the majority of the work is to the mom, not the baby.
