my gf is having probs with her period?

ok it started on dec 16th that is when her period started after it was done she had a few days break then she started to spot. it got worse by worse and she has been bleeding ever since with only a few days break.... her next period is coming up and she dose not know whats going to happen since she is still bleeding


she is going in for a pap smear next week


so do any of you know what it could be and give a source or what could help
