My Girlfriend really hates PDA, how do i make her happy then?

When I first met my girlfriend I fell head over heels in love with her. I finally gathered the courage to ask her out and after a long wait she finally agreed. Then she tells me that she hates PDA. I have never had a girlfriend like her and I want to be as kind and careful about how I am with her in public, but I cant seem to resist the temptation to grab her hand or put my arms around her waist and draw her close to me. We are fine when were alone, but until then I have to be preservative and after the months of dating, i cant take it any more. I want to show her my love unconditionally and whenever I feel she needs it. If I can only hold her in one of our bedrooms will she not start to feel like i am pressuring her. I really need help and I cant stand the fact I might lose her.
