My guinea pig died and his brother wont move?

My guinea pig died this morning we keep him in the shed and he had a cut on his leg so i think he was attacked by fox or rat and his brother is still alive but he is not his self he wont move and will hardly eat anything i don't know what to do how should i comfort him? and how long should i leave it before getting another guinea pig to comfort him?
