My hamster's really lazy!?

I got my hamster 2 weeks ago today. For the first couple of days he was really active, running in his wheel and discovering his new home. He still eats well and he looks completely healthy, but I don't see him drinking much water. He used to love exercise, but recently when I have put him in his ball, day or night, he mostly seems to cuddle up and go to sleep. He stays in his tube all throughout the day and until about 4am at night, when he comes out, and even then it's only for about 4 hrs.

He'll have the odd bash at his wheel every now and then, but he does seem to be lazier than he was!!! Is this normal? Does anyone have similar experiences with their hammies?

My hamster is exactly like that! NOt active at all! I wouldnt be worries though because as long as he eats and drinks he is fine! My hamster is 5 years old and he is never awake! Only when he eats!
