my handbrake button is stuck at times, whats wrong with it?

Sometimes when I try to release the handbrake, I cannot press the button, i tried to press the button so hard, it still doesn't go in?
Do I need replace it or something?
It works when putting the handbrake on but the button gets stuck when I try to release it?
This happens especially in the morning when i start my car up
