My hitachi DVD recorder door is stuck. Does anyone know how I can get this sucker

opened? I've looked this up on web an even browsed answers on here. The tiny hole to push the pin in isn't working. I would really like to save a trip and the money to take it somewhere so any help would be awesome, so as I can handle this issue on my own. Thanks in advance guys :)
